Biography

Dr. Liverpool was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone. 

Lennox S. O. Liverpool earned a BSc. Mathematics, Durham (1968); MSc. Pure Mathematics, London (1969); PhD. Pure Mathematics, London (1971); DIC. Imperial College of Science and Technology, London.(1971). From 1971 to 1978, Dr. Liverpool was Lecturer, Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone. From 1978 to 1979 he was Visiting Fulbright Fellow, MIT, Boston, Mass. USA and Visiting Associate Professor, Howard University , Washington, DC. USA. Lecturer , Fourah Bay College (1979 to 1980). At the University of Jos, Nigeria, Liverpool was Associate Professor (1980 to 1987) , and in 1987 to date he was made Professor of Mathematics.

His son, Tannie Liverpool, is a mathematician too.
