Biography

Jani Oldham, Ph.D. was born in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1956. According to Dr.Oldham, her father went to the all-black high school in Indianapolis and was the city scoring champ in football in 1948. This lead to a football scholarship to the University of Michigan from which he graduated in 1965 and played in a Rose Bowl. He earned his Master's degree (in mathematics) and a degree called Education Specialist, Ed. S., from Butler University. He was a high school math teacher for many years (who taught Martha A. Brown) and finished his career as a high school vice-principal.

As of 2008, Dr. Oldham was the Associate Professor of Mathematics at North Carolina A&T University.
