Dr. Ivy has been Assistant Professor of Statistics and Management Science University of Michigan Business School.

Julie is an Assistant Professor of Statistics and Management Science.  She completed her BS from the University of Michigan in 1991 and her MS from the George Institute of Technology in 1992.  Julie joined UMBS in 1998 after finishing her Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.  She has received numerous awards, including Rachham Merit Fellowship, Graduate Engineering for Minorities Fellowship, NSF-GEE Graduate Fellowship, and Eastman Kodak Scholarship and belongs to Tau Beta Pi and Alpha Pi Mu.

Julie's research interests are mathematical modeling of stochastic dynamic systems with emphasis on statistical and decision analysis as applied to manufacturing, business, and service environments.  She has applied her work to optimal maintenance and diagnostic policies in manufacturing and medicine. She is active in INFORMS and has published in operations research and management science journals.

Julie and her husband Mike enjoy their international travel.
